Cruising on the Swallow
We did a weeklong cruise along the coast of Croatia in an 18 cabin yacht, the Swallow.

Sibenik
The starting and end point of our journey, about an hour’s drive from Split (second largest city in Croatia).
Walking From the Boat to the Beach

Hiking to St. John’s Fort (Tvrđava sv. Ivana) with David and Lei

Last Night in Town

Skradin
The gateway town to Krka National Park – beautiful forested and grassy waterfalls and watercourses.

Vis – Hike to Sveti Andrija Mountain House
A former military facility, now a mountain house and fire lookout, at the top of a hill overlooking the town. Sylvia suggested some post hike refreshment and we were happy to oblige.

Korcula – Hike to Kočje nature park
Beautiful hike into an almost magical world of rocks and trees…that was pretty difficult to navigate (hence the blue track that doesn’t quite conform to the alltrails route).

Dubrovnik
The most famous city in Croatia (sorry Zagreb) and also very well touristed.

Pomena and Mljet Park
Mljet Park has a couple of gorgeous lagoons that Tagrid, Ron, Dianne and I biked around…and a high point, Veliki Gradac, that I climbed.

Stari Grad on Hvar Island
Hike to Purkin Kuk
Purkin Kuk is a bronze age settlement, subsequently fortified by the Greeks, that overlooks the town of Stari Grad.
