Day 1 – Orvieto
We arrived in Orvieto in the late afternoon after our overnight from the US. Tom was stressing about train schedules but happy to settle into this Italian hill town in Umbria (between Rome and Tuscany). Wandered around the town before a dinner including their famous local dish of Pigeon (Piccione alla Leccarda). First time actually eating pigeon though I’ve had words with them in Trafalgar Square.
