
About the Club
Group hikes around San Diego, often in nearby hills and mountains (think Cowles Mountain but usually not one that crowded). Good for aerobic and lower body conditioning as part of staying fit – exercise is the miracle anti-aging drug! Hikes will sometimes be divided into shorter (4 miles or so) and longer (8 miles or so) options. We will run into some wildlife: deer, coyotes, roadrunners, red-tailed hawks, rabbits, quail, etc.
Recommendations
Good attitude. This is fun. And cheap!
Hydration.
A snack.
Sneakers can probably work but you may like something a little sturdier.
Sun protection.
Hiking poles are optional but the pros like them, especially for going downhill.
